Jeff Deitchman www.jeffdeitchman.net/

It would be very easy to follow the usual trend of writing where Andy has appeared etc., but all I want to really say is that he is simply the ‘real deal’ . He’s an outstanding performer, modest, always happy to share songs and musical knowledge, a real gentleman and a pleasure to be around. What organisers could fail to book this rare and exceptional talent. Check out more info on Andy at:  www.walltowallfolk.com

Captain Swing

Danny Spooner’s version  www.dannyspooner.com/

One of the great pleasures doing this project is meeting so many interesting and talented people. Meeting two  great singers that don’t normally sing together and being  able to record these two great voices is  very rewarding. Jon Hare will always be found either comparing or lending his deep rich voice to solo spots in festivals or clubs around the country. John Morris usually sings with the fabulous Morning After trio but check out this un-missable performance from his previous life! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrUf OI3VB7o&feature=relmfu

Copper Family www.thecopperfamily.com/books-recordings/books/songbook.html

I’ve tried several times to record this extraordinary man  and finally I found him at work in his temporary shop at the Arts Centre in Bedworth during the festival. Pete is a multi-talented musician and singer as well as being a well known instrument repairer who can  be found at many festivals both near and far. He also runs a very popular folk club at The Cape of Good Hope in Warwick and his Christmas special on the 19th December will be one not to miss. www.actionability.co.uk/PG/ and www.rowingtonfolkclub.co.uk/

The King of Rome' was written by Derby born folk singer Dave Sudbury. Brought to the attention of an international audience by June Tabor and Ken Russell. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y97S XJR8cVo

Neil is of course more widely know as being part of the very memorable Parker and Watts

http://youtu.be/kZh2frAUocw duo but it was lovely to  catch Neil singing as a solo performer in his own right.

It was great to catch the Jays at an informal sing-around during the festival and they are part of the talented circle of Coventry singer/songwriters, sadly a flooded road stopped them from recording more in the caravan. www.coventrysingersongwriters.org
